Therapeutic doses of Evista

It should be taken at any time in a day, but after taken meal. The dose of Evista depends on the age, body weight and medical condition of the women. Adverse effects of Evista

Some common side effects of Evista include-

  • Increased sweating, hot flashes, leg cramps, joints or muscle pain, feeling of drowsiness, itching, irritation and swelling in your hands, feet and ankle.

Severe side effects of Evista include-

  • Difficulty in sleep, chest pain, stroke, pain, swelling and redness in legs, cough, wheezing, severe headache and breast enlargement or lump formation in the breast.
  • Severe allergic reactions such as difficulty in breathing, swelling of your face, lips and tongue.

Possible drug interactions of Evista

  • Estrogens
  • Cholestyramine (anion exchange resins)
  • Anticonvulsant drugs such as Warfarin, Heparin and Coumadin

Contraindications of Evista

Under some health conditions, Evista drug is not used-

  • In case of the patient is suffering from Raloxifene and any other active medications of Evista.
  • If you are suffering from Atherosclerosis (coronary artery disease)
  • In case of the patient is suffering from kidney and liver disease.
  • If the patient is suffering from any cardiac disease such as recent stroke, myocardial infarction and recent heart attack.
  • If you are already using the Estrogen hormone replacement therapy.
  • If the case of the female is suffering from venous thromboembolic events such as deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism and retinal vein thrombosis.

Be mindful while using Evista

  • Evista is inadvisable in the case of breastfeeding mothers because Raloxifene is passed into breast milk and cause harmful effects on new born baby.
  • Avoid the use of Evista, if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
  • Evista medicine is not intended for men’s use.
  • Avoid the use of calcium tablets because it may cause kidney stones.
  • Avoid the use of any other non-prescription, herbal and nutritional medicines while using Evista.
  • Evista is strictly contraindicated in children under the age of 18 years.
  • Avoid sitting still for long periods of time during travel if you are consuming Evista.
  • If you face any allergic reaction after using the Evista, immediately visit your nearest hospital and get some medical treatment.

How to store Evista

  • Evista is kept under the room temperature 300 C.
  • It should be protected from excess heat, sunlight and humidity.
  • Keep Evista tablets away from the reach of the children.

What to do in case of missed doses of Evista?

Administer the missed dose of Evista as soon as you get memorized, but if it is the time near to the next dose, then skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.

Don’t take the 2 tablets of Evista at a same time.

What to do in case of overdose of Evista?

Avoid the overdose of Evista.

If you face any overdosing symptoms of Evista call your physician without a wait and get some medical help from your nearest health care centre.

Some overdose symptoms of Evista are tachycardia and Bradycardia (irregular heart beat).
